Dear authors,
I would also like to welcome you to IAMCR 2023! I am sure we will have a lively discussion, both here and face to face in Lyon!
I would also like to take the opportunity to invite you to VIC CineClub, which I am curating. This is a virtual space for interaction, where all members of IAMCR sections and working groups are invited to share their comments on selected pieces of high-quality world cinema. Currently, in homage to France as host country of IAMCR, we are discussing 5 outstanding French films from past and present: “Breathless” (1960), “Muriel” (1963), “Swimming Pool” (2003), “Rust and Bone” (2012) and “Titane” (2021). Do you want to give us your feedback on one of these films? Just send me an e-mail with your comments and become part of our experience!
We are looking forward to reading and hearing from you!
Thomas Wiedemann, vice-chair of VIC (thomas.wiedemann@ifkw.lmu.de)

Welcome colleagues!!!!
This year we have a hybrid session, where some will be present physically in Lyon, and some will be present through their works. All papers for this group are available here. I encourage you to read them and make comments or questions, so the different authors can get feedback and improve our work.
Let's keep this session active and supportive.
I wish you all a great week and a productive Conference.
Regards
James

Dear James, Tea and Eleonora! Thanks for the nice comments! Keep doing it! Dear Authors: you need to reply to all comments and to interact with all authors from this session! Make comments, create dialogs, exchange viewpoints and, as James mentioned and I agree: "Let´s keep this session active and supportive". Have a nice weekend. Denize Araujo denizearaujo@hotmail.com

DEAR AUTHORS! I defy you to explain why your submission is part of this session! You have to analyze the title and verify if it is appropriate for your submission and how you can fit your submission inside the title! It is a challenge! Have a nice Sunday answering my question! AudioVISUAL, sounds and IMAGES... the title words in all capital letters are directly related to my research, that is, my research paper. VISUAL and IMAGES refer to the graffiti and street art I explore within urban visual communication and culture.

My paper is about mixing documental and ficcional AUDIOVISUAL narratives in one form, the Mockumentary. It uses the ilusion of the moving IMAGES and recorded direct SOUND to extract our truths trough the lies of the CINEMA language. ;)
