Dear authors and IAMCR members,
I am Xavier Ramon, co-chair of the Media, Communication & Sport (MCS) section. Welcome to the panel ‘Reflections on the Qatar 2022 World Cup’, composed by five papers prepared by Harrison LeJeune, Tewodros Workneh, Sphesihle Khanyile, Rachel Moyo, Dana Weimann Saks, Yaron Ariel, Vered Elishar Malka, Xavier Ramon, José Luis Rojas-Torrijos, Emilio Fernández-Peña, Carola Richter and Abdulrahman Al Shami. Four of these papers will be also presented face-to-face in Lyon.
I would like to encourage you to take this initial online phase to join the discussion! Read as much papers as you can and provide feedback to the authors, especially to those that will not be travelling to the conference site. Feedback should follow the CCC principle: Constructive, Courteous and Critical.
Authors are encouraged to periodically check in to engage with readers and respondents. Remember that each author is expected to provide feedback to at least one other paper in the panel.
