New journal of the Political Economy Section

altThe Political Economy Section of IAMCR is establishing a new journal with the first issue to be published on 1 May 2013. Political Economy of Communication will be an online open access academic publication.

The journal will publish peer reviewed articles that are delivered within the Political Economy section's sessions at IAMCR conferences. The journal is also open, in special cases, to ground-breaking contributions from non-section members.

The first five issues of the journal will be edited by Political Economy Section members Martin Hirst, Wayne Hope and Peter Thompson who have volunteered to take the journal forward in its initial stage. The journal will be published twice yearly, each with ten academic articles of approximately 5,000–8,000 words each.

It will be published in the IAMCR official languages: English, French and Spanish.

If you want to submit a paper to the inaugural edition, please send an electronic copy to the editors by 15th November 2012 at: martin.hirst[at]deakin.edu.au; wayne.hope[at]aut.ac.nz; Peter.Thompson[at]vuw.ac.nz
