IAMCR supports CCCS Conference
‘Media: Theory and Practice’ is the theme of the second annual conference of the Centre for Culture and Cultural Studies (CCCS), an event supported by IAMCR and ECREA. The event will take place in Skopje, Macedonia from 4-6 September 2014.
The organisers invite proposals based on media theory, and proposals that consider the relationship between media and (popular) culture, politics, arts, new media, as pertinent fields of study. IAMCR at Global Forum on Media and Gender
IAMCR participated in the UNESCO Global Forum on Media and Gender, held in Bangkok, Thailand, December 2-4, 2013. Institutions can name free student members
Institutional members of IAMCR can now name up to ten (10) PhD students as members of the Association at no additional cost. IAMCR president, Janet Wasko, says the new policy is good for everyone: “Institutional members gain visibility and provide a service to their students, the students get the experience of being part of a worldwide professional association that can help expand their networks and their horizons, and IAMCR will benefit from the injection of new ideas and perspectives that are essential to keeping the association vital.”
